The grape harvest
And when this season is coming to an end, the grape harvest becomes the leading event. Not in vain, the province has two wines with denominations of origin: Arribes del Duero and Sierra de Salamanca.
Lunes de Aguas: To the countryside with the hornazo
Few festive traditions are so rooted in the population of Salamanca as Lunes de Aguas. Its celebration takes place on the next Monday to Easter, after Holy Week.

Living passions
The Holy Week is one the firmest traditions in the city of Salamanca. Actually, it is the main religious even of the capital city of the province, with its 17 religious associations that organise 22 processions and acts.
Morucha Veal
The large dehesas are the habitat of the Morucha cow, the local breed of Salamanca. Under holm oaks and oak groves, livestocks freely graze and feed on the excellent spring pastures.
The Way of Saint Francis of Assisi
The Way of Saint Francis of Assisi recalls, according to tradition, the journey of the Saint from Santiago de Compostela to Lisbon. The Salamancan stretch extends over 131 signposted kilometres all through the essence of the lands of the Campo Charro region.
